1 Corinthians Questions
Text: 1 Corinthians chapter 4[please read the text & answer the questions below]
1. Paul wanted to be considered as "a servant of Christ" and "a steward of the mysteries of God." Think about what these descriptions involve. How can we make personal application in our own lives?
2. In the end, what matters most; how men judge us or how God judges us? Does this mean that we shouldn't care about what people think of us? Please explain your answer.
3. Are we justified (or acquitted) by our own judgment of ourselves?
4. When the Lord comes, what will he do?
5. What error is Paul dealing with in verses 6-8?
6. Please make a list of what the apostles endured for the Lord from verses 9-13?
7. Why did Paul write these things to the Corinthians?
8. Why was Paul sending Timothy to them?
9. Paul intended to come to them shortly. What seemed to be his purpose in doing so?
10. Paul has dealt with boasting and arrogance in three different ways in this chapter (i.e., judging one another, following humble examples, and the example of the apostles). Please make a list of problems that come from a boastful and arrogant (puffed up, superior) attitude.
